This intricately carved frame is reminiscent of the kinds of organic movements seen in Art Nouveau and Celtic artworks.

It's name, "virtuous Cycle", is a homage to the positive influences and inspiration circulating in a vortex-like manner to generate a positive feedback cycle. It serves as a reminder that the more commonly used phrase "Vicious Cycle" has its opposite number.

The piece highlights interconnectedness by weaving together complex movements in a seamless manner.

This piece was carved by hand using a variety of tools, and finished with coloured pencil and a layer of varnish.
